A World of Wonder
Artistic creation has always been a strong pull in my life. Through all the moves and changes, it has remained the one constant for as far back as I can remember. From my early childhood in the Philippines, boarding school in England, a gap year in Barcelona and universities in Switzerland and California, creativity has always been a driving force. I have loved experimenting with different mediums and styles throughout the years and have always felt influenced by the places that I have lived and by the places that I have traveled to.
After almost a decade in the US, I eventually returned to Europe, and settled with my family in the French countryside of Yvelines, near Paris. France is, of course, a treasure trove for any art lover but my family also share the same travel bug, so we have always made it a big priority in our lives.
Looking back now, it is with so much gratitude that I realise how fortunate I have been, to have been influenced by so many amazing cultures. I have seen and marvelled at so many different kinds of art and terrains. Inspiration has always surrounded me. From the tiniest dew drop hanging off a spiders web, to the mighty Sequoia tree; from a beautiful Italian fresco, to an ornate Moroccan tile; from the smooth, cold marble of a Greek statue, to a towering Egyptian Monument. I can go on and on. There has been so much to marvel at and so much to be inspired by.
